Ephesians 1:11 Second Meditation

I praise and thank You Papa God that through our union with Christ we too have been claimed by You as Your own inheritance. Before we were even born, You gave us our destiny; that we would fulfil Your plan, for You always accomplish every purpose and plan in Your heart. Ephesians 1:11 TPT

God:
You are my plan
My purpose for this world
To establish my kingdom
Through many sons like you
One with Jesus
Through His Spirit
Bringing life and love and peace
To earth eternally

I want you to know
The depth of my love
To live in it’s flow
Be embraced by my heart
I want you to know
The joy that’s in my soul
When you live in your new life
With which Jesus made you whole

I want you to know
What it’s like to be pure
To be Holy just like Us
The joy of being in Our light
The heavens resound
With the music of our being
Our joy and our delight
Become your place of dwelling

I want you to know
My peace filling your heart
To know we are One
And from you I will not part
To know you can rest
For your place with me is sure
Jesus paid the price
He is your guarantor

I want you to know
What it’s like to live in heaven
Free of sin and sorrow
Free of sickness, free of envy
Bringing heaven to earth
Through the power of my Spirit
Just as Jesus did
My kingdom you inherit

Matthew 9:32 Meditation

“While they were leaving, some people brought before Jesus a man with a demon spirit who couldn’t speak.” Matthew 9:32 TPT

These people brought a man
Who could not speak to You
They may not have known why he was dumb
But they knew who to bring him too
For they put their faith in You Jesus
For healing and deliverance

We know nothing of these people
Or from whence they came
All we can say we do know
Is where they chose to put their faith
For they put their faith in You Jesus
For healing and deliverance

Who knew it was a demon
That kept the man from speaking?
Matthew does not explain
There is little detail given
But they put their faith in You Jesus
For healing and deliverance

It was a simple act of faith
For a friend or relative
But it showed in whom they trusted
To cure the man’s lack of speech
For they put their faith in You Jesus
For healing and deliverance

In this modern world
Most likely many would scoff
At demons causing dumbness
Or Jesus as the cure
But they put their faith in You Jesus
For healing and deliverance

This sort of child-like faith
In Your authority and power
Is something I want Jesus
For it gives You all glory
I want to put my faith in You Jesus
For healing and deliverance

There are times in our lives Lord
When we need the help of others
To bring us to You
Because we are somehow silenced
To put their faith in You Jesus
For healing and deliverance

Help me to be the friend
That comes alongside others in need
To bring them to you
To know you love and freedom
To put our faith in You Jesus
For healing and deliverance

Matthew 9:29-30a Meditation

“Then Jesus put his hands over their eyes and said, “You will have what your faith expects!” And instantly their eyes opened—they could see! Matthew 9:29-30a TPT

The hands that created the stars and planets
The hands that created mankind
Touched the eyes of these two men
And they were no longer blind
Now they could see in reality
The One who had healed their eyes

Jesus it’s You who open our eyes
To see You’re the Son of God

The faith these two men had for healing
Their faith in Jesus as Lord
Brought them to Jesus seeking
To have their sight restored
Jesus’ touch was their answer
Seeing Jesus was their reward

Jesus it’s You who open our eyes
To see You’re the Son of God

Their faith and Jesus’ touch
Combined in a miracle
That immediately restored their sight
To see Jesus standing by
That moment’s joy, that moment’s delight
Brough restoration to their lives

Jesus it’s You who open our eyes
To see You’re the Son of God

Being blind they were probably outcasts
Living in poverty outside the city
But Jesus in one single touch
Made them clean and whole again
Gave them another chance at life
To live and work as normal men

Jesus it’s You who open our eyes
To see You’re the Son of God

Jesus I come in faith to You
Faith in You as Saviour and Lord
I seek to feel Your touch today
To experience faith’s reward
To be healed of all my ills
And see Your face with open eyes

Jesus it’s You who open our eyes
To see You’re the Son of God

Jesus I come in faith to You
Faith in You as Saviour and Lord
I be Your touch for someone today
So they can experience faith’s reward
To be healed of any and all ills
And see Your face with open eyes
Jesus it’s You who open our eyes
To see You’re the Son of God

Mathew 9:28 Meditation

“And they followed him right into the house where Jesus was staying. So Jesus asked them, “Do you believe that I have the power to restore sight to your eyes?” They replied, “Yes Lord, we believe!”” Matthew 9:28 TPT

It would appear
At least initially
Jesus didn’t hear their cry
For mercy and healing
As He walked by
For He did not respond immediately

Perhaps He was tired
As it was getting late
Or maybe the noise of the crowd
Was far too loud
Or maybe Jesus was making sure
They knew what they were asking for

Whatever the reason for the delay
When Jesus got to the place where He would stay
He turned and spoke to the two blind men
Asked if they believed in His power to heal
To give sight to the blind
They said, ‘yes we believe’

There is a power in testimony
A power in what we do and say
It shows the direction we are going
Demonstrates where we put our faith
And these two blind men had determined
Jesus was their healing Lord

If it seems there is delay
And healing is not straight away
Pursuing Jesus builds our faith
Brings us to the healing place
Where we can say with certainty
In your power to heal Jesus, I believe

It is not that Jesus loves us less
Causing delay in His responses
For on the journey we may find
Hindrances have been left behind
And in the questions Jesus asks
Our faith in him is purified

Although these two men could not see
They were not blind to Jesus healing
They were not blind to Jesus love
They were not blind to Jesus Mercy
They were not blind to Jesus power
And they trusted in Jesus as their Lord and provider

Help me Jesus to be in their place
Never blinded to Your love, mercy and grace
Always trusting in Your power
To be my healer and my deliverer
Always seeking out Your Presence
For Your life eternal is my life‘s essence

Matthew 9:27 Meditation

“As Jesus left the house, two blind men began following him, shouting out over and over, “Son of David, show us mercy and heal us!”” Matthew 9:27 TPT

Two blind man could not see
Where Jesus was going
But maybe they could hear
Where Jesus was
Somehow they knew
Jesus was now present
So they kept shouting out
To catch his attention

Though the illness they suffered
Meant they could not see Jesus
Yet they did not let it stop them
From seeking Him out
They shouted out to Jesus
To catch His attention
And it did not matter
Who else was there to hear them

Pride had no place
In the journey they were taking
Pride could not heal them
So they were choosing faith
They were asking Jesus
To demonstrate His mercy
And heal them of their blindness
Right there in that place

It was a journey of courage
And maybe desperation
For nothing else had worked
In their situation
They had probably tried doctors
And healing concoctions
But Jesus healing reputation
Had cause them to seek Him

They did not act
As though they deserved help
But instead begged for mercy
Put their trust in Jesus heart
Maybe they knew
How Jesus was forgiving
For they trusted in His mercy
To grant them their healing

In calling Jesus son of David
They were calling Him Messiah
The one who would save their nation
And be their own Saviour
To call on such a one
For mercy and healing
Was to trust in God‘s promises
Of His suffering servant

Their words were a witness
To all that were near
That they believed in Jesus mercy
Believed in His healing
Believed He was Messiah
One sent by God
To bring healing and salvation
As God had promised He would

If illness ever makes me blind
To where, Lord, You are
Help me to call out in faith
For Your mercy in that hour
Help me to be a witness
Of Your saving power
Hear Your voice, know Your touch
And feel Your healing power

Mathew 9:26 Meditation

“And the news of this incredible miracle spread everywhere.” Matthew 9:26 TPT

When a child thought dead
Was returned back to life
It is not surprising
That this good news spread like fire
Many would have wondered
What it truly meant
Was Jesus the Messiah?
Was Jesus heaven sent?

It is the miracles of Jesus
The love poured out in action
That demonstrate God‘s salvation
And make Jesus attractive

No doubt because of this
Amazing testimony
Many more people sought Jesus
Sought deliverance and healing
And I suspect more people
Saw Jesus was the Messiah
And put their faith in Him
As Lord and Savior

It is the miracles of Jesus
The love poured out in action
That demonstrate God‘s salvation
And make Jesus attractive

In the face of tragedy
We need to ask the question
In whom do we trust
Who would we ask for assistance?
Because this Jewish leader
Chose to put his faith in Jesus
We have this resurrection testimony
To reveal that answer

It is the miracles of Jesus
The love poured out in action
That demonstrate God‘s salvation
And make Jesus attractive

It is easy to speak
Of rules, facts and logic
That govern this world
Govern life on this planet
But they do not give life
Have no power for salvation
Whereas Jesus Power to give life
Is proof that God can and will save us

It is the miracles of Jesus
The love poured out in action
That demonstrate God‘s salvation
And make Jesus attractive

Lord when I am challenged
By my circumstances
And I’m tempted to doubt
In Your love and salvation
Help me to turn in faith
To this amazing testimony
And kneel at Your feet
To receive Your saving glory

It is the miracles of Jesus
The love poured out in action
That demonstrate God‘s salvation
And make Jesus attractive

Matthew 9:25 Meditation

“After he made the crowd go outside, he went into the girl’s room and gently took hold of her hand. She immediately stood to her feet!” Matthew 9:25 TPT

The doubters and the scoffers
The unbelieving crowd
Jesus got to leave the house
So everything was quiet
He knew that human doubt
And unbelieving words
Could hinder her healing
Could undermine his power

But with unbelief cast out
Jesus kingdom could reign
His presence and power
There to bring life and healing
He touched the girl’s hand
And life returned to her body
In health she did stand
Astounding everybody

No doubt there was rejoicing
Joy could not be left out
When this child thought dead
Was returned to life
Faith had its true reward
At Jesus hand
And all present could see
God‘s loving presence in this man

In that one moment
The house of faith was truly blessed
With their daughter now living
Returned from the dead
Because of their faith
They got to see
Jesus do a mighty miracle
In giving life again

There are times in our life
When faith seems to make no sense
It contradicts all we can see
And may even cause offence
But faith is the open door
That welcomes Jesus Presence
And is blessed by his kingdom’s reign
Filled with his life-giving essence

Jesus when my circumstances
Tempt me to doubt Your word
To doubt Your kingdom power
To give life and health and wholeness
Help me to rest in Your faith
Living in me through Your Presence
For now Your kingdom is my home
And faith in You my residence

Matthew 9:23-24 Meditation

“When Jesus finally entered the home of the Jewish leader, he saw a noisy crowd of mourners, wailing and playing a funeral dirge on their flutes. He told them, “You must leave, for the little girl is not dead; she’s only asleep.” Then everyone began to ridicule him.” Matthew 9:23-24 TPT

Though the Jewish leader
Acted in faith
The crowd at his home
Was in quite another place
So when Jesus pronounced
That the girl was just sleeping
The crowd laughed in unbelief
And ridiculed him

Jesus Your word
Is always true
You are our salvation
Our true life is in You

Maybe some in the crowd
Had a vested interest
In the girl remaining dead
For death and mourning was their business
Certainly their faith
Was in their own expertise
For Jesus words had no impact
On what they thought they could see

Jesus Your word
Is always true
You are our salvation
Our true life is in You

Some think that doubt
Is the right place to start from
Logic and reason
Is what they put their faith in
What they can touch and see now
Limits their understanding
And when Jesus contradicts them
They seek to ridicule him

Jesus Your word
Is always true
You are our salvation
Our true life is in You

Thankfully the girls father
Had left this crowd of unbelievers
Sought out Jesus face
And knelt in faith at his feet
And because of his request
Jesus came to his daughter
Dismissed the crowd of mourners
Ignored the doubters and scoffers

Jesus Your word
Is always true
You are our salvation
Our true life is in You

Death is not the final word
In Your kingdom
Death is not the final word
In Your presence
For You bring life and health
It is the essence of Your being
That’s why faith in You
Is the beginning of wisdom

Jesus Your word
Is always true
You are our salvation
Our true life is in You

Matthew 9:22 Meditation

“Just then Jesus turned around and looked at her and said, “My daughter, be encouraged. Your faith has healed you.” And instantly she was healed!” Matthew 9:22 TPT

Jesus knew that this ill woman
Needed encouragement
To confirm that she was well
And no longer unclean
Though normally a Jewish rabbi
Would not speak to a strange woman
Jesus turned and look straight at her
Confirmed her faith had given healing

Instantly she received
Jesus healing power
Her body was made well
At that moment in the crowd
Perhaps no one else there knew
How she had been unclean
But Jesus loving words
Made her healed and whole again

The power of Jesus
To overcome all evils
Was seeing through her faith’s actions
Despite this woman’s ills
In reaching out to touch Him
As His words confirmed
She had been cleansed, made whole
Healed to live again

There is no chronic illness
That faith in Jesus cannot change
For His healing power
Is still here today
In His Presence and prayer
We can touch our loving Savior
Find healing and wholeness
A new life of restoration

Matthew 9:20-21 Meditation

“Suddenly, a woman came from behind Jesus and touched the tassel of his prayer shawl for healing. She had been suffering from continual bleeding for twelve years, but had faith that Jesus could heal her. For she kept saying to herself, “If I could only touch his prayer shawl I would be healed.”” Matthew 9:20-21 TPT

For 12 years this woman suffered
And continue to bleed
And her illness must have given her
Much suffering indeed
For not only was she sick
But she could not attend God‘s temple
No one was meant to touch her
For God‘s law declared her unclean

So for her to simply be
In this crowd of people
Seeking for Jesus
So she could touch his prayer shawl
Was to go against the law
To go against her culture
And to take a great risk
That someone would recognize her

Yet on that day
Faith was seen in her courage
Seen in her desperation
To simply touch Jesus
She did not call out
Or demand his attention
But reached for what helped him
In prayer and supplication

She could see that Jesus power
Truly came from God
So believed his prayer shawl
Was in that power soaked
Just to touch one tassel
Was what she reached out to do
Her faith in Jesus was certain
In his power to heal

Lord no matter how long
A person has been ill
Your power to heal them
Is never at issue
Give me faith to persevere
Despite crowds and our traditions
Enable me to be Your prayerful touch
For healing and deliverance
