Matthew 9:29-30a Meditation

“Then Jesus put his hands over their eyes and said, “You will have what your faith expects!” And instantly their eyes opened—they could see! Matthew 9:29-30a TPT

The hands that created the stars and planets
The hands that created mankind
Touched the eyes of these two men
And they were no longer blind
Now they could see in reality
The One who had healed their eyes

Jesus it’s You who open our eyes
To see You’re the Son of God

The faith these two men had for healing
Their faith in Jesus as Lord
Brought them to Jesus seeking
To have their sight restored
Jesus’ touch was their answer
Seeing Jesus was their reward

Jesus it’s You who open our eyes
To see You’re the Son of God

Their faith and Jesus’ touch
Combined in a miracle
That immediately restored their sight
To see Jesus standing by
That moment’s joy, that moment’s delight
Brough restoration to their lives

Jesus it’s You who open our eyes
To see You’re the Son of God

Being blind they were probably outcasts
Living in poverty outside the city
But Jesus in one single touch
Made them clean and whole again
Gave them another chance at life
To live and work as normal men

Jesus it’s You who open our eyes
To see You’re the Son of God

Jesus I come in faith to You
Faith in You as Saviour and Lord
I seek to feel Your touch today
To experience faith’s reward
To be healed of all my ills
And see Your face with open eyes

Jesus it’s You who open our eyes
To see You’re the Son of God

Jesus I come in faith to You
Faith in You as Saviour and Lord
I be Your touch for someone today
So they can experience faith’s reward
To be healed of any and all ills
And see Your face with open eyes
Jesus it’s You who open our eyes
To see You’re the Son of God
