God’s Kingdom Child

“And since we are his true children, we qualify to share all his treasures, for indeed, we are heirs of God himself. And since we are joined to Christ, we also inherit all that he is and all that he has. We will experience being co-glorified with him provided that we accept his sufferings as our own.” Romans 8:17 TPT

I praise and thank You Papa God that I am Your true child, qualified to share all Your treasures, for indeed, I am an heir of Yours. And since I am joined to Christ, I also inherit all that He is and all that He has. I will experience being co-glorified with Jesus because I accept his sufferings as my own.

The anguish You felt Jesus, at Gethsemane
Knowing what was about to be
When accepting the punishment deserved by me
I claim as mine so I can be freed

To live as God’s kingdom child
Fully embraced, fully reconciled
With never a fear of punishment
Living fully in Jesus’ inheritance
Sanctified and glorified
Full of His Holy Spirit

The rejection You felt as You were tried
Abandoned by friends; about You others lied
The crowds condemnation that I deserved
I claim as mine so I can be freed

To live as God’s kingdom child
Fully embraced, fully reconciled
With never a fear of punishment
Living fully in Jesus’ inheritance
Sanctified and glorified
Full of His Holy Spirit

The pain you felt as You were whipped
Crowned with thorns and cruel words
Receiving the punishment I deserved
I claim as mine so I can be freed

To live as God’s kingdom child
Fully embraced, fully reconciled
With never a fear of punishment
Living fully in Jesus’ inheritance
Sanctified and glorified
Full of His Holy Spirit

The pain and anguish You felt on the cross
As nails tore Your flesh and all breath was lost
Receiving the punishment deserved by me
I claim as mine so I can be freed

To live as God’s kingdom child
Fully embraced, fully reconciled
With never a fear of punishment
Living fully in Jesus’ inheritance
Sanctified and glorified
Full of His Holy Spirit

The pain and anguish You felt on the cross
As Your relationship with Papa God was lost
Receiving the punishment I deserved
I claim as mine so I can be freed

To live as God’s kingdom child
Fully embraced, fully reconciled
With never a fear of punishment
Living fully in Jesus’ inheritance
Sanctified and glorified
Full of His Holy Spirit

Your decent into hell, Your death completed
That eternal death for the soul sin defeated
In that place of punishment deserved by me
I claim as mine so I can be freed

To live as God’s kingdom child
Fully embraced, fully reconciled
With never a fear of punishment
Living fully in Jesus’ inheritance
Sanctified and glorified
Full of His Holy Spirit

The power which raised You from death to God’s side
By your righteousness justified
Is the new life You lovingly give to me
And I claim it as mine so I can be free

To live as God’s kingdom child
Fully embraced, fully reconciled
With never a fear of punishment
Living fully in Jesus’ inheritance
Sanctified and glorified
Full of His Holy Spirit

Ephesians 1:8 First Meditation

Papa God I praise and thank You that Your superabundant grace is already powerfully working in us, releasing within us all forms of wisdom and practical understanding. (Eph. 1:8 TPT)

Lord
The power of Your Love
The power of Your Grace
Is seen in the wisdom
Of the deeds You embrace

To those caught in sin
You gave forgiveness and freedom
Release from their sinful self
So they need not sin again

To those caught up in works
Trying to earn their salvation
You you showed the way of love
Where we can all live in God’s favour

Lord
The power of Your Love
The power of Your Grace
Is seen in the wisdom
Of the deeds You embrace

Those controlled by demons
You set free to live in peace
No longer in torment
Because of Your Kingdom’s presence

Those who were sick
Found healing in You
Your voice, your touch and Your command
Released them into health again

Lord
The power of Your Love
The power of Your Grace
Is seen in the wisdom
Of the deeds You embrace

For those who were hungry
You supplied bread and fish
From one child’s lunch
You fed multitudes as needed

When storms arose
Threatening to sink the boat
You rebuked the winds and waves
So Your Kingdom’s Peace could reign

Lord
The power of Your Love
The power of Your Grace
Is seen in the wisdom
Of the deeds You embrace

When some would make You king
To free themselves from Rome
You gave Your life in death
To make us all citizens of heaven

When some sought Your death
To secure their position and power
You gave Your life freely
So we could all live as Your brothers

Lord
The power of Your Love
The power of Your Grace
Is seen in the wisdom
Of the deeds You embrace

Matthew 9:23-24 Meditation

“When Jesus finally entered the home of the Jewish leader, he saw a noisy crowd of mourners, wailing and playing a funeral dirge on their flutes. He told them, “You must leave, for the little girl is not dead; she’s only asleep.” Then everyone began to ridicule him.” Matthew 9:23-24 TPT

Though the Jewish leader
Acted in faith
The crowd at his home
Was in quite another place
So when Jesus pronounced
That the girl was just sleeping
The crowd laughed in unbelief
And ridiculed him

Jesus Your word
Is always true
You are our salvation
Our true life is in You

Maybe some in the crowd
Had a vested interest
In the girl remaining dead
For death and mourning was their business
Certainly their faith
Was in their own expertise
For Jesus words had no impact
On what they thought they could see

Jesus Your word
Is always true
You are our salvation
Our true life is in You

Some think that doubt
Is the right place to start from
Logic and reason
Is what they put their faith in
What they can touch and see now
Limits their understanding
And when Jesus contradicts them
They seek to ridicule him

Jesus Your word
Is always true
You are our salvation
Our true life is in You

Thankfully the girls father
Had left this crowd of unbelievers
Sought out Jesus face
And knelt in faith at his feet
And because of his request
Jesus came to his daughter
Dismissed the crowd of mourners
Ignored the doubters and scoffers

Jesus Your word
Is always true
You are our salvation
Our true life is in You

Death is not the final word
In Your kingdom
Death is not the final word
In Your presence
For You bring life and health
It is the essence of Your being
That’s why faith in You
Is the beginning of wisdom

Jesus Your word
Is always true
You are our salvation
Our true life is in You

The Light of Your Face

“Lord, … Let the light of your radiant face break through and shine upon us! The intense pleasure you give me surpasses the gladness of harvest time, even more than when the harvesters gaze upon their ripened grain and when their new wine overflows.” Psalms 4:6b-7 TPT

When a farmer sees his field
Of ripened grain
There is joy in his heart
That from the earth and rain
A fine crop has grown
A harvest of gain

But when the light of Your face Lord
Shines upon me
The joy that fills my heart
Is a greater thing in deed
The power of Your Presence
Your love, Your peace, Your joy
The sweet beauty of Your essence
Is all I need and so much more

When the vintner sees his vats
Overflowing with new wine
There is joy in his heart
That from the earth and rain
A fine crop has grown
And a fine wine is made

But when the light of Your face Lord
Shines upon me
The joy that fills my heart
Is a greater thing in deed
The power of Your Presence
Your love, Your peace, Your joy
The sweet beauty of Your essence
Is all I need and so much more

When a builder has built
A beautiful new home
There is joy in his heart
That his creation is done
And people will be blessed
By making it their home

But when the light of Your face Lord
Shines upon me
The joy that fills my heart
Is a greater thing in deed
The power of Your Presence
Your love, Your peace, Your joy
The sweet beauty of Your essence
Is all I need and so much more

When a composer has written
A song that’s full of joy
He knows the people who listen
Will be embraced and rejoice
And his heart is full of happiness
To share joys embrace

But when the light of Your face Lord
Shines upon me
The joy that fills my heart
Is a greater thing in deed
The power of Your Presence
Your love, Your peace, Your joy
The sweet beauty of Your essence
Is all I need and so much more

When artist paints a picture
Full of light and love and laughter
It will become a treasure
And be received with pleasure
By those who come to see
A piece of beauty for ever

But when the light of Your face Lord
Shines upon me
The joy that fills my heart
Is a greater thing in deed
The power of Your Presence
Your love, Your peace, Your joy
The sweet beauty of Your essence
Is all I need and so much more

Ephesians 1:7 Second Meditation

I praise and thank You Papa God that since I am now joined to Christ, I have been given the treasures of redemption by His blood—the total cancellation of my sins—all because of the cascading riches of His grace. (Eph. 1:7 TPT)

Pure as fresh snow
Spotless and perfect
Is the Lamb of God
Jesus Christ, the sinless One
The power of His perfection
Overcoming, purifying
His death and resurrection
Uniting us; one pure One

Now there is now nothing in me
To keep me from God’s side
For the purity of Jesus
Is now also mine
My welcome in His love
Is assured, certified
Sealed by Jesus’ Holy Spirit
As His One Pure Bride

All the mistakes I make
Are swept away in His blood
For all their consequences
He has paid the price
He turns all curses into blessings
Makes all sin powerless
He unites us with Him
Make us One in paradise

Now heaven is my home
And I am seated with Christ
By my heavenly Father’s side
In His Kingdom paradise
To know His Love and His blessing
Filling my life
We are One now and forever
Now I am joined to Christ

Ephesians 1:7 First Meditation

I praise and thank You Papa God that since I am now joined to Christ, I have been given the treasures of redemption by His blood—the total cancellation of my sins—all because of the cascading riches of His grace. (Eph. 1:7 TPT)

One
One with Jesus
One with His death
One with His life
One with His resurrection
One with Him now

Sin’s
No longer my master
No longer determines
Who I am
It is all
Washed away
By His blood
On the cross

I am freed from my brokenness
Freed from my past
Freed from the mistakes I’ve made
In rebelling from God
They have all been cancelled
My debts have been paid
Now I can live as God’s child
His Kingdom way

I am healed by His Presence
By His perfection and love
By His resurrection power
That has brought me to life
I’m made Holy by His Presence
Pure as God’s beloved child
Joined to Jesus for eternity
One with Him as God’s Son

The treasures of this gift
The treasures of being God’s Son
He has freely given to me
As with Him He’s made me One
I want to bring Him Glory
By living life His way
Giving all of my heart
To live God’s Kingdom here, today.

Matthew 9:22 Meditation

“Just then Jesus turned around and looked at her and said, “My daughter, be encouraged. Your faith has healed you.” And instantly she was healed!” Matthew 9:22 TPT

Jesus knew that this ill woman
Needed encouragement
To confirm that she was well
And no longer unclean
Though normally a Jewish rabbi
Would not speak to a strange woman
Jesus turned and look straight at her
Confirmed her faith had given healing

Instantly she received
Jesus healing power
Her body was made well
At that moment in the crowd
Perhaps no one else there knew
How she had been unclean
But Jesus loving words
Made her healed and whole again

The power of Jesus
To overcome all evils
Was seeing through her faith’s actions
Despite this woman’s ills
In reaching out to touch Him
As His words confirmed
She had been cleansed, made whole
Healed to live again

There is no chronic illness
That faith in Jesus cannot change
For His healing power
Is still here today
In His Presence and prayer
We can touch our loving Savior
Find healing and wholeness
A new life of restoration

Matthew 9:20-21 Meditation

“Suddenly, a woman came from behind Jesus and touched the tassel of his prayer shawl for healing. She had been suffering from continual bleeding for twelve years, but had faith that Jesus could heal her. For she kept saying to herself, “If I could only touch his prayer shawl I would be healed.”” Matthew 9:20-21 TPT

For 12 years this woman suffered
And continue to bleed
And her illness must have given her
Much suffering indeed
For not only was she sick
But she could not attend God‘s temple
No one was meant to touch her
For God‘s law declared her unclean

So for her to simply be
In this crowd of people
Seeking for Jesus
So she could touch his prayer shawl
Was to go against the law
To go against her culture
And to take a great risk
That someone would recognize her

Yet on that day
Faith was seen in her courage
Seen in her desperation
To simply touch Jesus
She did not call out
Or demand his attention
But reached for what helped him
In prayer and supplication

She could see that Jesus power
Truly came from God
So believed his prayer shawl
Was in that power soaked
Just to touch one tassel
Was what she reached out to do
Her faith in Jesus was certain
In his power to heal

Lord no matter how long
A person has been ill
Your power to heal them
Is never at issue
Give me faith to persevere
Despite crowds and our traditions
Enable me to be Your prayerful touch
For healing and deliverance

Ephesians 1:5-6 second meditation

I praise and thank You Papa God that it was always in Your perfect plan to adopt me as Your delightful child, through my union with Jesus, the Anointed One, so that Your tremendous love that cascades over me would glorify Your grace—for the same love You have for Your Beloved One, Jesus, you have for me. And this unfolding plan brings You great pleasure! Ephesians 1:5-6 TPT

God:
I delight over you with singing
You bring joy to My very heart
I will pour My love out on you
So in My Glory you will live out your life

I will be there in your mornings
As you begin each new day
To guide you in the way you should go
And give you My words to say

I delight over you with singing
You bring joy to My very heart
I will pour My love out on you
So in My Glory you will live out your life

I will be there in your troubles
I will rejoice with you in your joys
I will make a way through the wilderness
And fill your table in front of your foes

I delight over you with singing
You bring joy to My very heart
I will pour My love out on you
So in My Glory you will live out your life

I will see you grow and mature
As a Son of My Kingdom should
I will see you live My love, joy and peace
In every type of circumstance

I delight over you with singing
You bring joy to My very heart
I will pour My love out on you
So in My Glory you will live out your life

I will see you pure and holy
Just like Jesus My Son
His Spirit in you keeping you true
To the Child of God that you are

I delight over you with singing
You bring joy to My very heart
I will pour My love out on you
So in My Glory you will live out your life

I will see you walk in victory
Over the enemy and all sin
I will see you free to love like Me
My Grace your empowering Glory

I delight over you with singing
You bring joy to My very heart
I will pour My love out on you
So in My Glory you will live out your life

I will be there in your evenings
At the close of each single day
To fellowship sweetly together
And rest in love’s embrace

I delight over you with singing
You bring joy to My very heart
I will pour My love out on you
So in My Glory you will live out your life

Matthew 9:7 meditation

“Immediately the man sprang to his feet and left for home.” Matthew 9:7 TPT

As the power of Jesus words
Of forgiveness and healing
Fell on the lame man
He sprang to his feet, standing
He then left for home, walking
No doubt to share the good news
That Jesus had healed him
And all was forgiven

Surely there would have been
Much joy that day
As his family saw him walk
Saw that Jesus had healed him
And I wonder if his neighbours
Joined in the celebration
For surely his faithful friends
Deserved a great thanking

The religious scholars
Who thought they knew God better
Had their judgment of Jesus
Brought into serious question
How could a man lame
Clearly bound in sin and shame
Be suddenly walking
Unless truly forgiven?

This is the power of the words
That Jesus speaks
They show his authority
Over sin and all creation
They demonstrate the power
That brought this world into being
That created life for us
Created human beings

Though Jesus had left Heaven
To be born as one of us
Yet he was born of God’s Spirit
As God’s true Son
His identity confirmed
By God voice at his baptism
He’s authority and power
Confirmed in the Holy Spirit‘s Presence

It was daily acts of power
Forgiveness, healing and deliverance
That demonstrated God’s kingdom
Was here in Jesus’ Presence
He demonstrated that God’s Spirit
Could give birth to a human
With God‘s authority and power
This world to redeem

Now we are God’s Sons
Born of flesh and Spirit
When we take Jesus as our Lord
And His eternal life inherit
Our words are His words
And we give witness to His glory
When we forgive, heal and deliver
In His authority
