There is nothing I can do Papa God

To serve You today

Except as Your Holy Spirit

Fills me with Your empowering Grace

.

There is nothing I can offer Papa God

That is worthy of Your Love so great

Except my Jesus-renewed heart

To love and serve You all my days

.

There is nothing I can say Papa God

That will bring You adequate praise

Except to tell of Jesus work

Raising me to His new life of eternal Grace

.

There is nothing I can be Papa God

That can bring You adequate Glory

Except that Jesus lives in me

And His Presence makes me holy

.

There’s no way I can ever earn Your love and Grace

But Jesus’ righteousness has earned it in my place

I’m Yours, Your joy, Your child

Jesus earned that right on the cross

A heavenly throne set in place

With God seated upon it

He sparkled like crystal

Glowed a warm reddish brown

And was circled by an emerald rainbow

.

Twenty-four other thrones

Encircled God’s mighty one

And on each throne sat an elder

Dressed in glistening white clothes

Each wearing victory’s gold crown

.

Lightning pulsed from God’s throne

Over a pavement, a crystal glass sea

Thunder and voices were heard

Seven torches blazed in front

For the seven Spirits of God

.

Round the throne stood four living creatures

Who worshipped God day and night

Singing, “Holy, Holy, Holy,

Is the Lord God almighty!

The Was, the Is and the Coming One!”

.

The elders worshipped, offering their crowns

Before the Eternal One on His throne

Singing, “You alone are worthy,

To receive glory, honour and power

For You are Creator of all”

.

This is the throne room of God

That John saw while imprisoned on Patmos

The heavenly place where we all can live

Through Jesus’ resurrection

And Jesus blood on the cross

.

The power of heaven, the power of Jesus

To overcome all and win the day

Were revealed to John in his prison

For nothing on earth or heaven

Can stand against Jesus, or stand in God’s way

.

You fill me with Your Presence

Like light fills a room

You light every dark corner

Till we are as One

You fill me, Jesus You fill me

.

You fill me with Your Love

Like water fills a canyon

You fill me with Your joy and peace

In You I’m overflowing

You fill me, Jesus You fill me

You fill me with Your holiness

Like yeast fills dough with air

You raise me to Your righteousness

So I can live with You there

You fill me with Your Power

Like a sun burning bright

Your powerful eternal Presence

My resurrection, my healing, my life

You fill me, Jesus You fill me

.

You fill me with Your Spirit

Like air fills a balloon

He lifts me up to higher heights

Makes me one of Your heavenly lights

.

Lord Jesus I welcome Your Presence in me!

A mediation on:

Colossians 2:9-13 TPT “For he [Jesus] is the complete fullness of deity living in human form. And our own completeness is now found in him. We are completely filled with God as Christ’s fullness overflows within us. He is the Head of every kingdom and authority in the universe! Through our union with him we have experienced circumcision of heart. All of the guilt and power of sin has been cut away and is now extinct because of what Christ, the Anointed One, has accomplished for us. For we’ve been buried with him into his death. Our “baptism into death” also means we were raised with him when we believed in God’s resurrection power, the power that raised him from death’s realm. This “realm of death” describes our former state, for we were held in sin’s grasp. But now, we’ve been resurrected out of that “realm of death” never to return, for we are forever alive and forgiven of all our sins!”

Power in His words

When a man possessed and insane

Who lived as an outcast in burial caves

Saw Jesus some distance away

He ran towards Him and bowed low for healing Grace

.

.

When a woman who constantly bled

For whom doctors had only made things worse

Heard of Jesus’ healing reputation

She thought ‘I can be healed if I just touch His robes’

.

There was power in Jesus

Power to heal

Power in His Presence

Power in His words

.

When the leader of a local church

Knew his daughter was so sick she would die

He found Jesus and fell at His feet

Pleading “Come and touch my daughter, giver her life!”

.

There was power in Jesus

Power to heal

Power in His Presence

Power in His words

.

Each of these people were freed from their torment

Healed and given life back again

Their faith is our constant witness

That Jesus Presence and words still heal today

.

There is power in Jesus

Jesus Presence lives in each of His disciples

His indwelling Spirit confirms it is so

So when we draw on His Presence in faith

We to can know His power to heal

.

I am a child of God

My heart rejoices in the Lord

The maker of heaven and earth

My lips sing His praises

And I rejoice in His worth

.

I see Your Glory daily

It covers all the earth

In each shaft of sunlight

And in each child’s birth

.

All the birds in flight

Show your fine engineering

Their different shapes and colours

Result from Your imagination

.

The waves on the ocean

Bow to no man’s hand

But they exist by your creation

By Your Word of command

.

The animals we treasure

And keep by our side

Who comfort and sustain us

Amaze us with their style

.

The people we love

And who love us in return

Show us Your Grace

Your face in theirs we discern

.

The stars in the sky

Sparkle in the night

Their brilliant light

A result of Your word’s might

.

The flowers in the gardens

Glow in colours we treasure

Their delicate beauty

Shows us Your loving pleasure

Job was a man

Whose respect for God ran deep

A man of true integrity

Who pleased God in everything

.

But the ruler of this world

Who is never satisfied

Said, “Job’s faith has not been tested, God

You’ve guarded all he has.”

.

God knew faith’s gold in Job

That only testing would reveal

So He allowed Satan to test him

To be God’s refining flame

.

Job lost all his wealth

Servants, animals and farm

Job’s children were all killed

Though Job was kept from harm

.

Job tore his robe in grief

Shaved his head to show his sorrow

Fell down and worshipped God

Still trusting God for tomorrow

.

Then Satan took Job’s health

Hoped to bring him down in fear

Covered him in boils

So his own skin Job did tear

.

Though his wife urged Job to turn

And curse God for this day

Job kept to his integrity

His faith in God did not sway

.

Three friends of Job came by

To give him some support

His losses were so great

That silence was their first resort

.

But looking for answers

To Job’s suffering and pain

They decided it must be his sin

Job must be to blame

.

Job called out to God for justice

“Please show them I am right!

I have not sinned,

Not been the cause of this dark night!”

.

Job called for an advocate

One who would plead his cause

In the heavenly courts

To God the judge of all

.

Though he did not know it

For it was well after his time

Job was calling for Jesus

To mediate his cause

.

When the accusations of Job’s friends

Had him nailed to the wall

God entered the debate

And His voice silenced all

.

“Where were you at earth’s beginning?

Did you create it all?

How can you judge my wisdom

when your knowledge is so small?”

.

The power of God’s Presence

The power, of God’s words

Brought Job to acknowledge

God’s wisdom conquered all

.

But in that powerful debate

Something awesome came about

Job who’d only known of God

Heard God’s voice and saw His face

.

Job aware of his sinfulness

Sought only to repent

God saw only Job’s faith’s righteousness

And sent Job to save his friends

.

From that encounter

Job got healing and new life

Full of heavens blessings

For he lived at God’s side

.

All that Job had lost

Was replaced many fold

And he lived like a king

Till he was very very old

.

The gold in Job’s faith

That was revealed in these trials

His faith-born righteousness

Sealed his place as God’s’ child

.

Job was welcome in God’s Presence

And he had a ministering role

And he inherited the blessings

That came from the King of kings

.

So when your faith is tested

As it will be one day

Remember You are Gods child

And keep seeking His face

.

Only God has the wisdom

To get you through this trial

And come through to all the blessings

Of being God’s beloved child.

The joy to come in our release

Beauty is fading

It ends with every line

Every sagging part

Through the ravages of time

.

But Your love Lord Jesus

Wraps me in beauty never gone

For You love me completely, powerfully

Till the end of time

.

Knowledge is fleeting

Updated each new day

Truth is elusive

Hard to grasp before it fades

.

But Your words Lord Jesus

Fill me with wisdom never gainsaid

For You speak powerfully, truthfully

And Your words forever remain

.

Wealth is deceiving

Taking many astray

Their castles to build

That waves of time wash away

.

But Your wealth Lord Jesus

Gives me inheritance unfading

For Your deeds last for eternity

And Your Glory is unending

.

Earthly love in all it’s glory

May be with us all our days

But it cannot resurrect us

Cannot save us from the grave

.

But Your Love Lord Jesus

You give forever freely

Your love raised me from death

To live with You eternally
