They heard the Lord’s blessing

“The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”” (Genesis‬ ‭12:1-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

““Shortly after I began to speak, the Holy Spirit was poured out upon them, just like what happened to us at the beginning. And I remembered the words the Lord had told us: ‘John immersed you in water, but you will be immersed in the Holy Spirit.’ When they heard this, their objections were put to rest and they all glorified God, saying, “Look what God has done! He’s giving the gift of repentance that leads to life to people who aren’t even Jews.”” Acts‬ ‭11:15-16, 18‬ ‭TPT‬‬

DailyPrayer:

Lord I hear Your blessing

Your promise of life

You have immersed me in Your Spirit

Your resurrection life

I receive You Holy Spirit as You flow around me

I receive You Holy Spirit as You fill me with Your Presence

I receive You Holy Spirit as You transform me

I receive You Holy Spirit, Spirit of life.

Make a record of remembrance of the blessings you’ve received from God:

Using words, pictures, art, craft or music start making a record of the blessings you have received from God. Do it slowly, no more than one a day.

Take your time over each one, remembering it in full detail and enjoying it again. Rejoice with God in it. Be aware of the Holy Spirit’s role in it as it was poured out on you.

See yourself receiving that gift again today. How would You respond?

Take a reminder of that with you during the day and take a moment now and again to remember that blessing again.

I praise and thank You Lord You have blessed me with ……

I praise and thank You Lord You Lord are blessing me with the Presence of Your Spirit in and around me.

Make a record of Scripture blessings and dwell in them:

Recall a favourite Scripture promise verse or search the prophets and New Testament for a verse that stands out to you, a verse that describes a blessing God says he will give His people.

Take that verse and write out or illustrate with art what it means to you.

Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what it means and write down what He says. Note that this can be an on going/daily question as He gives you more. Don’t limit it to a one time thing.

Ask the Holy Spirit what it would look like if this verse was seen active in your life now, today.

Ask the Holy Spirit to make it real for you and in you today.

Look up the key words for meanings in a Bible dictionary or encyclopaedia.

Journal the journey. Dwell in that verse until God says it is time to move on.

Ask God how He wants to bless others through you today.

Ask Him who in particular He wants you to bless.

Journal the answer.

Act on it as the situations present themselves.

Journal what happened.

In the morning, ask God what particular Holy Spirit fruit, grace or gift He wants to give or increase in you today.

Journal the answer.

Do an action, write a prayer or artwork as an active way of receiving that.

Journal how it made a difference to your day.

Are there songs that have been a blessing to you?

That was God speaking through them.

Make a collection, list or playlist of them.

Listen to one each day, remembering the blessing and rejoicing in it.

Are their pictures that have been a blessing to you?

That was God speaking to you through them.

Make a collection, collage or scrap book of them.

Look at one each day, remembering the blessing and rejoicing in it.
