I want to float in Your river

Of the water of life

To soak in Your Presence

Till I’m one with Your Essence

I want to float in Your river of Life.

I want to soak in Your river

Your river of love

To soak in Your Love

Till I’m more than full up

I want to soak in Your river of Love.

.

I want to rest in Your river

Your river of peace

Fears and burdens swept away

As Your Peace wins the day

I want to rest in Your river of Peace.

.

I want to dance in Your river

Your river of joy

Feel Your joy wash through me

Till joy is all I see

I want to dance in Your river of Joy.

.

I want to live in Your river

Your river of life

Know the tree of life’s healing

In life’s strife and hard dealings

I want to live in Your river of life.

A meditation on

Revelation 22:1-3 TPT “Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, flowing with water clear as crystal, continuously pouring out from the throne of God and of the Lamb. The river was flowing in the middle of the street of the city, and on either side of the river was the Tree of Life, with its twelve kinds of ripe fruit according to each month of the year. The leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. And every curse will be broken and no longer exist, for the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there in the city. His loving servants will serve him;”

I want to sing for joy

To my saving Lord

To praise His Holy Name

For once I was lost

But now I am found

And He has made me whole again!

Once I was bound by sin and shame

Knowing I could never live Gods way

But Jesus’ blood washed it all away

When He showed me His love on that happy day

.

I want to sing for joy

To my saving Lord

To praise His Holy Name

For once I was lost

And He has made me whole again!

Once my heart was broken and could not love

Turned cold by the hurts I had sustained

But Jesus gave me a brand new heart

Filled with His Love that never fades

.

I want to sing for joy

To my saving Lord

To praise His Holy Name

For once I was lost

But now I am found

And He has made me whole again!

Once my spirit was lifeless, tired and dull

With so little strength to enjoy the world

But then Jesus gave me a brand new spirit

Joined to His spirit of life and joy

.

Once I feared I was all on my own

With no one to trust and no real home

But then Jesus made me His friend and brother

Showed me I belonged with my Heavenly Father

Once I thought death was the end of the line

Life was without purpose, reason or rhyme

But then Jesus gave me His eternal life

To live in God’s love as His much loved child

The road was wide and easy

Even sometimes fun to travel on

But Your Spirit said within me

”This is not the one!”

.

So I turned and went the other way

To find the road Jesus was on

The love, joy and peace that flow from Him

My guide and treasure when we move as one

.

I looked at those who have hurt me and others

And demanded that justice be done!

Jesus said, ”l’ve accomplished that all on the cross

For you and every one!”

.

So I turned and went the other way

To live the way Jesus does

The forgiveness that flowed to and through me from Him

Healed the damage and freed me to live again

.

So now when life throws me a curve ball

And it seems all my plans are now dust

I say, “Can we do this Your way Jesus?

For Your kingdom treasures will never rust!”

.

And I turn and took to Jesus

For wisdom, guidance and strength

I seek to have His life flowing in mine

So His deeds and His footprints are all that is left

Not much use for anything

But Jesus took that to the cross

Giving me His new and holy life

And now I am a Son of the Living God

A child of the King of Kings

For Jesus has given me His life

Given me His everything!

Once I was hurt, damaged and maimed

By the deeds and sins of mankind

But Jesus took that to the cross

Giving me a new and love-filled heart

.

And now I am a Son of the Living God

A child of the King of Kings

For Jesus has given me His life

Given me His everything!

.

Once I lived in fear and poverty

Needing to keep all I had for me

But Jesus took all my fears to the cross

Giving me His peace and liberty

.

And now I am a Son of the Living God

A child of the King of Kings

For Jesus has given me His life

Given me His everything!

.

Once I lived in sickness and pain

Thinking that life all loss and no gain

But Jesus took all that to the cross

Filling me with His eternal life healing

.

And now I am a Son of the Living God

A child of the King of Kings

For Jesus has given me His life

Given me His everything!

.

Once I was just human, bound just to die

Without hope for a future and life

But Jesus took all that death on the cross

Giving me His heavenly eternal life

.

And now I am a Son of the Living God

I have sought for wisdom

In the ways of the world

But the answers I was looking for

Were found in the Living Word

.

Your wisdom God is precious

More than gold or jewellery

For Your wisdom is Jesus presence

Living in me eternally!

I have looked for wisdom

In learning and books

But knowledge and true wisdom

Are quite different things

.

Your wisdom God is precious

More than gold or  jewellery

For Your wisdom is Jesus presence

Living in me eternally!

I have looked for wisdom

In Bible stories and words

But without Jesus’ Spirit’s instruction

It all just seems like empty rules

.

Your wisdom God is precious

I have looked for wisdom

In owning many things

But things wear out and loose their shine

They do not pass the test of time

.

Your wisdom God is precious

I welcome Your Presence Jesus

Your Wisdom living in me

Your Spirit’s revelations

That makes my thinking Yours

There is nothing I can do Papa God

To serve You today

Except as Your Holy Spirit

Fills me with Your empowering Grace

.

There is nothing I can offer Papa God

That is worthy of Your Love so great

Except my Jesus-renewed heart

To love and serve You all my days

.

There is nothing I can say Papa God

That will bring You adequate praise

Except to tell of Jesus work

Raising me to His new life of eternal Grace

.

There is nothing I can be Papa God

That can bring You adequate Glory

Except that Jesus lives in me

And His Presence makes me holy

.

There’s no way I can ever earn Your love and Grace

But Jesus’ righteousness has earned it in my place

I’m Yours, Your joy, Your child

Jesus earned that right on the cross

A heavenly throne set in place

With God seated upon it

He sparkled like crystal

Glowed a warm reddish brown

And was circled by an emerald rainbow

.

Twenty-four other thrones

Encircled God’s mighty one

And on each throne sat an elder

Dressed in glistening white clothes

Each wearing victory’s gold crown

.

Lightning pulsed from God’s throne

Over a pavement, a crystal glass sea

Thunder and voices were heard

Seven torches blazed in front

For the seven Spirits of God

.

Round the throne stood four living creatures

Who worshipped God day and night

Singing, “Holy, Holy, Holy,

Is the Lord God almighty!

The Was, the Is and the Coming One!”

.

The elders worshipped, offering their crowns

Before the Eternal One on His throne

Singing, “You alone are worthy,

To receive glory, honour and power

For You are Creator of all”

.

This is the throne room of God

That John saw while imprisoned on Patmos

The heavenly place where we all can live

Through Jesus’ resurrection

And Jesus blood on the cross

.

The power of heaven, the power of Jesus

To overcome all and win the day

Were revealed to John in his prison

For nothing on earth or heaven

Can stand against Jesus, or stand in God’s way

.

You fill me with Your Presence

Like light fills a room

You light every dark corner

Till we are as One

You fill me, Jesus You fill me

.

You fill me with Your Love

Like water fills a canyon

You fill me with Your joy and peace

In You I’m overflowing

You fill me, Jesus You fill me

.

You fill me with Your holiness

Like yeast fills dough with air

You raise me to Your righteousness

So I can live with You there

You fill me with Your Power

Like a sun burning bright

Your powerful eternal Presence

My resurrection, my healing, my life

You fill me, Jesus You fill me

.

You fill me with Your Spirit

Like air fills a balloon

He lifts me up to higher heights

Makes me one of Your heavenly lights

Lord Jesus I welcome Your Presence in me!

A mediation on:

Colossians 2:9-13 TPT “For he [Jesus] is the complete fullness of deity living in human form. And our own completeness is now found in him. We are completely filled with God as Christ’s fullness overflows within us. He is the Head of every kingdom and authority in the universe! Through our union with him we have experienced circumcision of heart. All of the guilt and power of sin has been cut away and is now extinct because of what Christ, the Anointed One, has accomplished for us. For we’ve been buried with him into his death. Our “baptism into death” also means we were raised with him when we believed in God’s resurrection power, the power that raised him from death’s realm. This “realm of death” describes our former state, for we were held in sin’s grasp. But now, we’ve been resurrected out of that “realm of death” never to return, for we are forever alive and forgiven of all our sins!”

Power to heal

Power in His Presence

Power in His words

.

When a man possessed and insane

Who lived as an outcast in burial caves

Saw Jesus some distance away

He ran towards Him and bowed low for healing Grace

.

There was power in Jesus

Power to heal

Power in His Presence

Power in His words

.

When a woman who constantly bled

For whom doctors had only made things worse

Heard of Jesus’ healing reputation

She thought ‘I can be healed if I just touch His robes’

.

There was power in Jesus

Power to heal

Power in His Presence

Power in His words

.

When the leader of a local church

Knew his daughter was so sick she would die

He found Jesus and fell at His feet

Pleading “Come and touch my daughter, giver her life!”

.

There was power in Jesus

Power to heal

Power in His Presence

Power in His words

.

Each of these people were freed from their torment

Healed and given life back again

Their faith is our constant witness

That Jesus Presence and words still heal today

.

There is power in Jesus

.

Jesus Presence lives in each of His disciples

His indwelling Spirit confirms it is so

So when we draw on His Presence in faith

We to can know His power to heal

.

When we turn from fear to belief.
