The core of His own heart

Scoured and for us crucified
So He could raise us from the dead
As God’s Sons, with Him united

People think that once they’ve sinned
God has no time for them
Like Adam and Eve they hide away
Try to cover the brokenness and pain

When Jesus was judged it was as us
For He had never sinned
When He was whipped and beaten
It was our sins that punished Him
When God’s Presence left Him
It was our old self He was in
And when the cross finally killed Him
It was our death that took Him

But death it could not hold him
For Jesus had never sinned
And the power of His righteousness
Overcame death, giving New Life to us
Raised by God’s Holy Spirit’s power
Him and us at God side, now forever
Reborn into His Holy Glory
One with God now and for eternity

Now the full Glory of God is yours
You live in Jesus righteousness
Forgiven, cleansed and holy once more
Completely released from the power of sin
