The leper was unclean

God’s law made it so

He could not enter the temple

Or even enter the town

For anything he touched

Would become unclean also

.

But Jesus touched the untouchable

And his leprosy was gone

At Jesus’ command

The man was cleansed and healed

.

Jesus love and power

Was witnessed through that leper’s courage

As he abandoned the law

To worship at Jesus’ feet

And his words and actions

Were those of true repentance

.

The leper had doubted

Jesus would want to heal him

But Jesus words and actions

Showed love was His plan

Showing forgiveness for sin

Jesus chose to heal the man

.

So when I confront sickness

Regardless of how it occurred

To turn and worship Jesus

Is the solution that I need

For the power of his love

Will bring healing indeed

.

And their illness is gone
