My heart was stubborn and stony

Living my life for me only

I struggled to love

Struggled to give

In Your love Lord Jesus

I could not live

.

But You gave me a new heart

Took away the old

A tender, responsive heart

So I’m no longer cold

Your law of love

Is now central to my heart

The power to live it

Your Holy Spirit imparts

.

My spirit was broken

Damaged by sin

With no strength to love

No desire to let You in

In Your presence Lord Jesus

I could not live

.

But You gave me a new spirit

Took away the old

A spirit joined to Yours

In Your strength made bold

Your law of love

Now governs my life

Your Holy Spirit’s Presence

Love, joy and peace imparts.

Jesus I thank You

Now I’m made new

Jesus I praise You

You’ve remade me like You!

.

To live my life without Your guide

You sent Your Son, Your precious one

Looking to see if I had returned

Now Jesus life is my life

And I can truly live!

Walk in unity

I am a sister (brother) to Jesus

Jesus is my family

My brother in the kingdom

Companions daily

I am a bride to Jesus

He has claimed me

To be one with Him

Throughout eternity

I am a lover to Jesus

For He loves me

And holds me in His arms

With His love fills me

.

I am a bondslave to Jesus

My life’s not my own

Now Jesus life fills me

Seals me in the Divine

.

I am a Son to God 

He is my loving Dad

And I sit enthroned with Jesus

His inheritance I too have

For You are my very essence

When I can see Your Presence

See Your eyes fixed on me

You run to receive me

Oh so lovingly!

.

One touch of your hand

And my garments are transformed

To a bridal dress so white

So beautifully adorned!

.

One bow of my head

To greet Jesus, my king

And You honour me more

Bestowing crown and ring

.

One embrace in your arms

And I can stand tall

Sin and sickness are gone

In Your love so powerful

.

One dance of joy

Held gently in Your arms

I’m in heaven, complete

I’m where my heart belongs.
