True Sons

Let’s celebrate God. He lavished every blessing heaven has upon us in Christ. He associated us in Christ before the fall of the world. Jesus is God’s mind made up about us. He always knew in his love that he would present us again face-to-face before him in blameless innocence. Ephesians 1:3-4 Mirror Bible 
He answered his father, Consider the many years that I have toiled for you like a slave. And at no time did I ever dodge any of your commandments; yet, you never considered rewarding me, even with a little lamb, so I could party with my friends. However, when this son of yours comes here, having devoured your savings by wasting it on prostitutes, you slay the grain-fattened calf. Right from the very beginning
Our value to God was settled
As true Sons of Our Heavenly Father
Our identity in Christ was sealed

As true Sons of Our Heavenly Father
We rejoice in Jesus Christ
Our Saviour and our brother
All that is His is ours

We can’t earn a higher value
Than the one God has given us
To be sealed in Christ as His Sons
Is heaven’s highest place

We can’t improve our identity
As God’s Sons in His purity
To be born and sealed in Christ
Is heaven’s holiest place

Sin has no hold over us
For in Christ our wholeness is sealed
Through His death and resurrection 
His power in us is revealed

Suffering

This is why no form of suffering can interfere with my joy. Every suffering on your behalf is just another opportunity to reinforce that which might still be lacking (in your understanding) of the affliction of Christ on behalf of his body which is the church. Colossians 1:24 Mirror Bible

When things in life go wrong
And suffering becomes our lot
There is a grace to grasp hold of
The finished work of the cross

Jesus increase my understanding

So resurrected in You I can freely rejoice

The scars and chains of my and other’s sin
That kept my heart hard and bound in
Have been broken, washed away, made powerless
By Your precious holy blood that You shed on the cross

The burdens I once carried, no matter how heavy
Became Your yoke that You to the cross carried
Dead and buried through Your crucifixion

The footholds satan had in my heart and mind
Were entombed in Your death as we are united
In Your resurrection life I think and feel as God’s son

The sickness that has plagued me, yesterday or today
Died with You on the cross removing me from it’s sway
In You I have risen to complete newness
Your resurrection power giving me Your wholeness

So any suffering I may experience today
Is a opportunity to know Your Resurrection Power
To experience and understand the fullness of Your Grace

The Light of Your Life


“In the very beginning the Living Expression was already there. And the Living Expression was with God, yet fully God. They were together— face-to-face, in the very beginning. And through his creative inspiration this Living Expression made all things, for nothing has existence apart from him! Life came into being because of him, for his life is light for all humanity. And this Living Expression is the Light that bursts through gloom— the Light that darkness could not diminish!” John 1:1-5 TPT

The Fullness of Your Presence

We Were Designed

Ephesians 1:4-6; Genesis 1:26-27; 3; Exodus 20:18-21; Exodus 32; Psalm 106


We were designed to live as one with God
From the very beginning when we were imagined in His heart
He wanted us to be members of his family
To be united with Him, Father, Spirit and Son


When Adam and Eve were born into this world
They were free to choose if they would follow  God
When they chose independence of God for their direction
This damaged who they were, broke their heart, mind and spirit


Shame about their actions now became their driving force
In fear they hid their brokenness from God and others
Blame shifting and lies became their solutions
Faith and trust was broken, in God, self and others


The result of this brokenness is detailed in the Bible
As people hurt each other and many rejected God
God’s judgment and destruction and confusion of their language
Reduced the damage they did but was not the solution


We were designed to live as one with God
From the very beginning when we were imagined in His heart
He wanted us to be members of his family
To be united with Him, Father, Spirit and Son


God chose Israel as His nation and His people
Freeing them from slavery with the wealth of their captors
God’s mighty miracles to rescue and sustain them
Did not stop them from worshiping manmade idols


When God invited Israel to be his special people
To be in His Presence, to speak to them in person
In fear and shame Israel refused this invitation
Asking  for His instructions which from a distance they’d obey


Armed with God’s Law Israel though they had the answer
To pleasing God from a distance which they thought safe
But laws do not make a broken people whole
As people and a nation God they rarely obeyed


We were designed to live as one with God
From the very beginning when we were imagined in His heart
He wanted us to be members of his family
To be united with Him, Father, Spirit and Son


But God had a solution for our brokenness
To make all our sins, over us, powerless
He had a way for our broken self to die
And be reborn in Him, in the twinkling of an eye


God sent Jesus to show us the life
We could live if we were truly God’s child
And to take our brokenness into Him
And die for us, with us and our sin


Then God gave us Jesus powerful resurrection 
As our new life and our new direction
A new heart and spirit, made in His image
United with His Spirit to complete our family lineage


We were designed to live as one with God
From the very beginning when we were imagined in His heart
He wanted us to be members of his family
To be united with Him, Father, Spirit and Son


Now we can rejoice as part of God’s family
Living in and from His Kingdom, now, daily
His love and peace, righteousness and joy
Is our dwelling place once we are re-born


So when you see the troubles in this world
People behaving badly, people being hurt
Know that the solution is not found in man and law
Only re-birth in Jesus has the power to heal us all

Resurrection

John 11:11-44 and Matthew 28:1-10

Jesus had a friend named Lazarus
Who died young of an unnamed sickness
Though his sisters had sent for Jesus
Jesus delayed in coming to cure the illness
By the time he arrived at Lazarus’ home
Everyone knew that Lazarus was gone
Into the grave covered by a large stone
Dead until God called all the dead home

Lazarus’ sisters, Martha and Mary
Were very upset as anyone would be
In their grief they cried out to Jesus
If You’d been here You could’ve healed Lazarus
They though Jesus had waited to long
And now that Lazarus was 4 days in the tomb
It was too late for a miracle resurrection
They would have to wait till all dead were risen

Jesus said,
“You don’t have to wait [for the future]
I am the Resurrection, and Eternal Life [now]
Anyone who clings to me in faith
Any one who lives by believing in Me
Even though he dies, he will live forever
As I use the power God has given Me”

No one believed that Jesus could give
Life to someone who was so long dead
Yet at Jesus command they opened the grave
To see what Jesus would do that day
Jesus commanded that Lazarus come out
And much to the shock and surprise of the crowd
Out of the grave dead Lazarus walked
Alive once more as a man in this world

When Jesus died on the cross sometime later
And He was buried by Joseph of Arimathea
A stone was rolled over the entrance to the grave
And guards stationed there to make sure that’s how it stayed
Yet three days later as they came to the grave
The two Marys saw an angel roll the stone away
Power shook the earth and made the guards faint
The angel told them Jesus was alive again

In Jesus we see that God has the power
To give life to the dead no matter the hour
God can raise the dead to new life again
Here in this world where death seems to reign
In these events Jesus demonstrated
God’s power for us unto salvation
Though death is our sins penalty
God can overcome death for our resurrection

So when we see that we’re bound by sin
And death it seems is our only end
Jesus offers us His Resurrection Life
Eternal, holy, and powerful, as ours
And a heart that loves like only God can
A new spirit to make us a new woman or man
United as One with the Holy Trinity
Through Jesus’ sacrifice, a new life for us today

Jesus says,
“You don’t have to wait [for the future]
I am the Resurrection, and Eternal Life [now]
Anyone who clings to me in faith
Any one who lives by believing in Me
Even though he dies, he will live forever
As I use the power God has given Me”

So anytime things are not as they should be
As health, provisions or relationships can seem
When the world around us seems only broken
Or our inner world has begun to darken
We can turn to Jesus and cling to Him and His promise
To exchange life for death, light for all our darkness
And ask Him to reveal His resurrection life
Powerfully in us now to overcome all strife

“Martha said to Jesus, “My Lord, if only you had come sooner, my brother wouldn’t have died. But I know that if you were to ask God for anything, he would do it for you.” Jesus told her, “Your brother will rise and live.” She replied, “Yes, I know he will rise with everyone else on resurrection day.” “Martha,” Jesus said, “ You don’t have to wait until then. I am the Resurrection, and I am Life Eternal. Anyone who clings to me in faith, even though he dies, will live forever. And the one who lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”” John 11:21-26 TPT

Light Undiminished

“The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” John 1:4-5 NLT

Light Undiminished meditation

There was a time I did not know God personally
I knew his rules and commands but knew they were not for me
I could not love Him or others as he commanded
The deceptiveness of sin had my heart by stone surrounded

But Jesus came into my life to show his love for me
Offered me His love to live in and to give away for free
Offered me a new heart that was living and loving
Offered me a new spirit with His Holy Spirit united

Jesus Your Glory light reigns undiminished
No darkness has the power to ever overcome it
United with You, You from ALL sin cleanse us
You purify all darkness from within us
Making us pure and holy by Your Own Presence

Now I live with Jesus, united as one
His powerful light cleansing me even when I stumble
When I take the wrong direction He turns me around
Shows me the path where His life can be found

I need never fear my sin can taint or damage Jesus
For in His death and resurrection is the power to redeem us
To exchange our death for His eternal life
He has overcome all to give us his Glory light

All of sins damage can be taken to the cross
And left there to die, now powerless
Be left in exchange for Jesus resurrection life
We have this privilege every day of our life

Now I can, without any hesitation
Stay in the Presence of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit
Now nothing can separate me from God’s love
For Jesus’ holiness and righteousness, He has made mine

God had one Beloved Son
The core of His own heart
A pure and Holy Glorious One

Through all the work that Jesus has done
And God’s willing sacrifice of His Beloved Son
There is nothing you could do or say
That could make your more loved by God in any way
Today, tomorrow, your value remains
As high as Jesus, for His blood’s in your veins
You are a full member of God’s family
So take your place now, with Him eternally
