Powerless to change without true healing
You gave us Your Law to reveal the mess we’re in
But we thought we could obey it and missed the mark again

So You sent us Your Son, one with us in human flesh
To reveal Your image, alive as one of us
He loved, forgave and taught and healed as Your true Son
But we failed to understand, let Him on a cross be hung

One with us, Jesus died, and sinful mankind died with Him
As He took the punishment for all of mankind’s sin
