““By God’s will we have been purified and made holy once and for all through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus, the Messiah!”
Hebrews 10:10 TPT
The longer that I look at You
The more I see I have been made pure
For in Your reflection Jesus I can see
Your Presence in me has purified me
The clearer I see Your Holiness
The more I want it to embrace
As You fill me with Your Holy Presence
Because in me You have made Your temple
The more I understand Your sacrifice
The clearer it becomes that it was enough
To make me clean and whole again
To recreate me as a Child of God
There are many ways Jesus demonstrated His powerful purity. For example:
- The way He treats everyone with love shows His pure heart
- The way He cleanses others of their sin through what He says or does.
- The way He lived to serve
- His resurrection from the dead
Look back over your faith journey and see how you have seen these things operating in your life. It may help to get a friend to tell you how they have seen this. Write a prayer of thanks to Jesus for what He is doing in Your life.
Take one particular circumstance in your life and ask God what it would look like to see Jesus purity operating in you in that place. Write or draw the answer. Turn it into a prayer of thanksgiving because that is what God is doing in you now, today.
Look for your favourite Gospel story of Jesus. What is the purity you can see in Jesus in that story? How does it affect the people Jesus interacts with? Imagine you were the recipient of that purity in action. How would it affect you? Dwell on that. Bask in that. Write or draw a prayer or reflection on that experience.
Pick on particular aspect of purity that Jesus had that you want to see grow in your life.
As you go about your day, every time you drink something, imagine what you are drinking also contains that purity from Jesus. As you drink thank Jesus for filling you up with that attribute. Do that for a month and then spend some time reflecting on what difference it has made for you.
Pick one particular aspect of purity that Jesus had that you want to see grow in your life. Write a one line prayer thanking Jesus for being pure in that way and thanking Him He lives in you. Pray that prayer at least 3 times a day for a month and then spend some time reflecting on what difference it has made for you.
