Yesterday’s heart

Was full of sin

No place for Me

To come and live in

But on the cross

It died with Me

So you could be

Reborn to find

A clean pure heart

In you

One with Mine

Was unforgiving

Judging and bitter

For revenge seeking

But on the cross

It died with Me

So you could be

Reborn to find

A forgiving heart

In you

One with Mine

Was full of grief

Loss and sorrow

Blamed on Me

But on the cross

It died with Me

So you could be

Reborn to find

A joyful heart

In you

One with Mine

Was full of fear

Stalked by tomorrows

Anxieties and troubles

But on the cross

It died with Me

So you could be

Reborn to find

A peaceful heart

In you

One with Mine

Was hard and cold

It could not love

Was afraid to be bold

But on the cross

It died with Me

So you could be

Reborn to find

A loving heart

In you

One with Mine

The choice is yours

To make each day

To live in the past

Live the old way

Or let the old heart die

And live in Me

From a new tender heart

Created by Me

Let Me fill you with Love

Joy, Forgiveness and Peace

From My heart to yours

In an eternal flow

Lord I give You my fears

My judgements and sorrows

I give You my hurts

And worries for tomorrow

I give You my griefs

Sorrows and losses

My wayward thoughts

And sinful desires

My lack of love

That binds me in coldness

Let it all die with You

On the cross

For You paid for it all

It is Yours to command

Into the grave

As the morning light dawns

Let Your Life be mine

As I live from the new heart

You have made mine

Let Your holiness

Be my new thinking

Let Your Love and forgiveness

Your Joy and Peace

Fill my new heart

Be my reason for living

Do this in me

For I cannot do it
