As the morning sun lights up the paths of this world, I welcome Your Light, Your Presence in and around me, highlighting the path I should take today.

As the strong midday son lights up roads and walkways, I welcome the Presence of Your Son, Your light in me and my life, empowering how I should live today.

As the stars and moon light up the evening sky, directing travellers on their way, so I welcome the shining Presence of Your Holy Spirit in and around me, making me the light of Your Presence that directs people from darkness to You.

When I find myself in a dark place I say: Reveal Your shining light here Lord

When I find myself confused I say: Let Your revelation light become my way of thinking

When I’m thinking sad thoughts I say: Lord reveal the light of Your joy in me today

When I’m aware of my failings I say: Thank You Lord that the shining glory of the cross wipes ALL my sins away.

When I’m feeling hopeless I say: Lord reveal the shining light of Your new life in me today.

When I’m feeling afraid I say: Lord shine the revelation light of Your love into me today.
