As she sheltered Your spies

In Jesus’ line

You kept Esther safe

As she cared for her people

Trusting You with her life

She brought the Jews justice

For Your Presence was with her

You kept Job safe

Through all his losses

Opened his eyes to Your Presence

So he could save others

For Your Presence went with him

I have strayed from Your paths

I can feel so unworthy

To be called God’s child

But you tell me, “Don’t worry,

That you died on the cross

Live from your new life

Jesus made you one with Us”

In rebellion gone astray

Yet some chose to stay beside you

Hearing Your Voice each day

As they walked with You in obedience

That I sit enthroned under Your shadow

Hidden in Your strength

For You are the hope that holds me

You are the stronghold that shelters me

My only God, my great Confidence

That You have promised to rescue me

From every hidden trap of the enemy

From every false accusation

From every deadly curse

And protect me in Your embrace

.

That I can hide, covered by your majesty

Your arms of faithfulness shielding me from harm

I need never fear a spirit of darkness

Or demonic forces attacking

For You will keep me safe and sound

That as I live my life in in Your Shadow

Make You my secret hiding place

I will always be shielded from harm

Where no evil can prevail or disease infect

For Your angels protect me where ever I go

And we can find and feel Your Presence
