When I’m aware of Jesus’ Presence

And His love divine

I can rest, drink in His love

And know that all is fine

Because He’s done all the work

To make me God’s child

.

I rest in Jesus’ cross

To know the old me is dead

Sin no longer controls me

I have a new life instead

I rest in Jesus’ ascension

To bring me to God’s side

I rest in Jesus’ authority

To make me God’s child

.

When I’m aware of Jesus’ Presence

And His joy so sweet

I can dance, sing for joy

And know He is my strength

Because He’s done all the work

To make me God’s child

.

I rest in Jesus’ cross

To know the old me is dead

Sin no longer controls me

I have a new life instead

I rest in Jesus’ ascension

To bring me to God’s side

I rest in Jesus’ authority

To make me God’s child

And His peace so deep

I can rest, be filled with peace

And know in Him I am complete

Because He’s done all the work

To make me God’s child

I can stand, or enter battle

And know in Him I’m overcoming

Because He’s done all the work

To make me God’s child
